“ Not only is the pizza amazing but the customer service is a 10/10. I live in Arizona but I travel to Alaska frequently for work. Last week I grabbed pizza with my nieces before my flight back to Arizona. I arrived at the airport without my passport and I knew I had lost it and had no idea where! I came to the realization that I will have to apply for a new passport. Until I received a random message on Facebook! The owner of the Pizzaria reached out to me on Facebook to tell me he had my passport! He not only kept the passport but he took the time to look for me on Facebook, which he said there are a lot of Tammy's! Above and beyond incredible! Thank you John! ”
“ The pasta dishes are amazing. My kids love the chicken Alfredo. We usually get takeout so we don't go inside and sit down for service but they're always prompt and everything is always ready and correct when I get there to pick it up. As to the ambience I know they have a piano player now which is pretty cool, but like I said, we do takeout or delivery most of the time. ”
“ Pizza Delphi, you are a neighborhood staple. Best Italian food in Alaska. The best memories growing up and eating here with my family. Their Greek spaghetti is so good and the Greek calzone. The staff is incredibly nice. You are lucky to eat here! ”
“ I've only had takeout but when walking in I was definitely intrigued by the ambience. The lights were dim and a very talented man was playing the piano. We ordered an all meat pizza and I believe it's the best pizza we've had in Palmer. I also enjoyed some deep fried mushrooms. I will be going back to sit down and enjoy some live music in the future. ”
“ I'm a critic on a mission: To immerse myself into the full dining experience among the many fine restaurants, bistros, cafes, eateries, diners, holes in the wall, and just plain truck stops in this great country, and to review each from within its own context. Establishments get up to 5 stars, one each for: 1st Impression, Menu Selection, Food Quality, Value, and Service. Bon Apetit' Pizzaria Delphi is a Palmer, AK iconic eatery. Been around forever and it's menu is locked into the memories of most Palmerites. 1st Impression- Newly remodeled, one enters a cozy dining room with both tables and booths. It's seat yourself, but waitstaff is at your table within a few minutes ready to take your order. They get a star . Menu- Quite a diverse offering. Yes, they have lots of pizza, but also burgers, hot sandwiches, seafood & steaks, salads, and pretty good Italian fare. They get a star . Quality - I have to say, many restaurants with a menu as diverse as Pizzaria Delphi tend to rely on canned sauces, prefrozen portions. Bagged lettuce, etc. and while this place makes use of some premade items, the general quality of the food is much higher than most peer establishments. They get a star . Value - So, value is a subjective criterion so let's call it like this: how much more or less would you pay for a comparatively similar meal at, say the Olive Garden, or a Romano's, etc. My experience has been that you pay more and get less elsewhere. They get a star . Service - Owner, John, makes it a point to come through the dining room to say hi to his customers. I like to see that because it shows he cares and he has confidence in his establishment. The rest of the waitstaff is equally considerate and friendly. They get a star . Taken as a whole, Pizzaria Delphi is a great 5-star restaurant- it leads the way among its peers! Go there and order the meat lovers calzone. You will love it! ”
“ Attended here pre-covid: Excellent service. The server was friendly and on top of her game. She knew the list of brews from memory. She had great recommendations and checked in at perfect times. Excellent selection of Arkose brews. Arkose is a local brewery in the area with a some distribution in the local stores. The list here had several I had seen in the store. Good cheesy bread. Large portion. Two cups of marinara for dipping. Good pizza. Nothing crazy. I was satisfied. Between the cheesy bread and large pizza, two people were easily full with half a pizza as leftovers. Booths were comfortable. The restaurant is set up in a way that allows there to be a split amongst patrons throughout the restaurant. It meant we didn't feel like people were eating right next to us. That was nice. ”
